Hey everyone,
I am a senior at ASU finishing up my BIS degree, I have a few kids and I live in California.
When our professor mentioned that we would be blogging as part of the course work it for JUS 430, it peeked my interest and I enrolled in the class. I will have to step out of my comfort zone a bit when it comes to this course because I often keep many of my true opinions to myself, my friends, and my family.
I cannot wait to read what everyone has to say.
*** Piqued your interest :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the correction. It is one of those words we say from time to time, but never really thought of spelling it out. You made me look it up :)
ReplyDeletePEAK/PEEK/PIQUE
It is tempting to think that your attention might be aroused to a high point by “peaking” your curiosity; but in fact, “pique” is a French word meaning “prick,” in the sense of “stimulate.” The expression has nothing to do with “peek,” either. Therefore the expression is “my curiosity was piqued.”
An amazing number of people write about “mountain peeks.” A peak is a summit; a peek is a glimpse.
